I recently scaped my new tank with real reef artificial rock for my SPS only tank. Someone who has been doing this awhile says he thinks I should have used true live rock because artificial versions are not good for fragile SPS. I'm hoping to hear stories hear where you guys have had great luck with rock other than "true live rock" Id hate to have to redo this whole thing. I did this trying to avoid pests and what not

I used Walt Smith project reefrock 2.1 and love it. Prior I had used Tampa Bay Saltwater rock, which was awesome as well but way to many hitchhikers. I had many gorilla grabs, a few stone grabs and a few mantises to name a few. You can never stop the hitchhikers, but dry rock is a great start. The other bonus is aquascaping, you can take all the time you want designing your reef. The down side, longer cycling time.
