I'm just curious to know how long did it take for you to see the benefits of the Algae Scrubber?

My Nitrates are around 40 PPM, Phosphates 0.25 and I'm going on my 14th day of using an Algae Scrubber. Im guessing it may take a month or so, but I'm not sure so I wanted to see what everyone else's experiences with an ATS was like.

Here is some pictures of the growth I have so far

im horrible with testing (prob only once a month) and had a drop somewhere between the tests.

so for me less than a month for both visual nuiscence algae and nutrients to improve

i did same build as you prob a different light and it works like a charm. if you didnt scuff the mesh up with some sandpaper do it when you clean it next time it totally gives more surface area and grip for the hair algae to cling to

Those would be awesome results.

By week 3 i needed to do my first harvest. I saw a noticeable difference in nitrates and phosphates by week 2
That would be great. I'm actually surprised to see that bright green Algae growth in only 14 days. May poor goniopora are suffering so I'm hoping the Nitrates come down soon.

Thanks I definitely will scuff up the mesh if the Algae starts falling off prematurely. How long before you started seeing results?

I probably should've posted pictures of the scrubber, My Aquarium is the Reefer 250. I feed 1 Cube of food, 5 ml of Reef Energy AB+ and a quarter sheet of Nori a day.

Nitrates 40 ppm
Phosphates 0.25 ppm
