FOR THOSE DEALING WITH DINOS, what are you dosing?

I'm just wondering for those dealing with dinos (or for those who have dealt with them), could you tell us what you're dosing? I'll include a poll at the top, but please definitely comment with additional details. For example, if you're using two-part, what kind of two part? What in addition to two part is being dosed? Etc.

This may be a wild tangent, or (hopefully) maybe there will be some good information and discussion that could result from the results.

There are probably thousands of different dinoflagellates, so things that have worked for one, may not work for someone else.

How are you currently trying to tackle this problem?

I don't have dinos currently. I did earlier this year.

Ah okay, you just want others experiences.

When I researched treatment methods I found some people recommend water change and others recommend not to change the water.

I can see the benefits in both methods.

Raising the PH to at least 8.3 seems consistent advice, along with physical removal, by way of siphoning etc.

I found that massively over feeding was a contributor, or catalyst in triggering outbreaks.

Adding Microbacter7 daily and turning the skimmer off for 4 hours I believe helped my situation, combined with the above.

Was dosing ESV B ionic 2 part when I first got dinos. Also was using nopox and red sea reef energy randomly. Interestingly enough on a smaller tank i have with an algae issue i started dosing my old bottle of nopox, and when it ran out i saw traces of dino on the tips of my algae and coral so i didnt buy another bottle. Hope that helps

Out of curiosity what correlation between dosing and dinos are you hoping to find? As I prepare for my new build, I am obviously hoping to not deal with this demon spawn again..

Just saw this thread. Dosing BRS 2 part, Nopox, Red Sea Reef Energy. I think the Nopox dropped my nutrients too low, and then the aminos some how created a dino storm.
