For those dosing full strength kalkwasser/ kalk reactor users

Curious how much full strength you are dosing daily. Please include some basic system information.

I have a 75 gallon lightly stocked mixed reef that is slightly leaning towards sps dominant. I am dosing about 4,000 ml daily thru my reactor. The tank is less than a year old and coraline is starting to blow up (my reasoning behind the usage). I am thinking about starting to add vinegar to help give me a stronger dose as I am getting to my limit with evaporation.

Not uncommon to dose that much. I was dosing that much in conjunction w/ 2 part. But opted to stick w/ 2 part (SPS DOM) But at some point , obviously, you're going to have to consider 2 part.. You can dose both pretty easily, I've done that. Or if you're using kalk for the pH you can make Randy's DIY 2 part solution cheaply , and easily and it has same effect on pH, maybe more.

I replaced all evaporated water with limewater/kalkwasser. Might have been about 2% of the tank volume daily, but varied.

Yea hooking up Kalk to a dosing pump, I found was better. I knew how much I was evaporating for the most part anyuway. But at least then I didn't have to worry about the seasonal change. I love kalk. If one is to go SPS dom and he's already using a gal+ on a 75, probably way easier to start 2 part

I do have 3 unused dos dosing heads that I can start to use as needed when the time comes.
I was just seeing if this ammount of kalkwasser was abnormal or not.
