Hello all,
I am considering going to a rollermat instead of filter socks because I travel ALOT and filter socks do not get changed as often as they should.
My question is, is there any out there with dual inputs? My 300 gallon display has dual 1 1/4" drains that go into the sump. Would I need to buy 2 roller mat systems or is there any big enough to handle this much flow with 2 drains? Thanks

Why not route one of your overflows to the roller mat and let the other go straight to the sump? Theoretically, you're still turning the display water through the roller.

Guess I could. Never really thought of it that way. Guess I was hoping to just filter it all at once as it drains.

From what I have seen, rollermats are not really designed for that much flow. How many gph are you running?

Not sure about the actual GPH but the return is a Reeflo Hammerhead Gold which im guessing is about 1800 gph with it being in the basement and pushing water about 16' up.

I have a Clarisea with the same issue. They advised to either get 2 or plumb one of the outlets into the roller and then put a gate valve on the other and limit the flow out of it. I have chosen the latter based on room. So far so good.

I think they recommend a max of 600 to 800gph. So you probably will want to either run multiples or let some water bypass it.

I don't have one (yet), so can't comment as to why the recommendation is so low when the surface area is so high. I suspect they will churn through the mat quickly if there is too much water pressure.
