How long did you leave the display acro free?

How many dips did you perform?

Did you have any show back up?

I am on my sixth dip currently not finding any worms or eggs. Was going to do three months and 12 dips but I have seen some do less. Trying to get an idea of where everywhere else is. Thanks!

We dealt with them several years ago. The life cycle of AEFW is approximately 21 days. Most folks treat for 8 to 9 weeks to ensure the egg cycle is broken.

Thanks for the reply! I am going to be away from town coming up and would like to move them over before I go which will put me at 8 weeks and 9 dips.

I did 6 dips over the course of 8 weeks. It's been about 6 months and everything has fully recovered. I treated right out of my display. Most of my pieces were lfracs and a coup,e of mini colonies.

I'm dealing with aefw to and i decided to go acroless for 8 weeks to be safe, And I honestly don't know if I want to even chance putting any of my original acros back in the display after that lol may just start fresh.

went without sps for 90 days
dipped every 3 days

the biggest help when i had them a few years ago was to cut and discard any dead spot and the bases. if there are no bases or dead spots it really limits the amount of places they can lay eggs
