these clams were super sensitive to movement. Hence why some are all clammed up :)

Very nice, where did you go to see these?
Thankyou :) These were mostly taken on osprey reef which is about 120 miles NE of Cairns, australia and some were taken along the actual GBR. Got to go on a 5 day liveaboard :)
 
That second one (solid black) almost looks like a tevoroa. The mantle is way too smooth though (and tevoroa's don't have pronounced teeth).

I've never seen one in captivity, they are really rare and I think they are protected. That clam looks like a Squamosa to me but it's extremely hard to tell with so little shell showing that I'm not anywhere near positive.
