Forced New tank setup as old tank slip

Longs story sort my old tank split and I have to do a tank swap very quickly I filled tank and put in atm colony and ran my old external filter on new tank then, added my fish, rock and corals and then the bacteria bloom started and has now turned into an algea bloom. It's been about 15 days now and it's no better with me to 20-40 l water changes every other day and running carbon, is UV my best bet at this point? as light isn't getting to my corals thanks

Hmmm, I am honestly not sure here, but @Lasse might have some good insight. Was the water originally from the split tank (assuming not a full split), or did you have to start with completely new water?

I managed to use about 60% old water all old rock and my old bucket filter
Some old sand but mostly new sand(nature's ocean live sand) and some new rock also

Yes - I think that an UV-C will do the job. Other options? - maybe easy-life (happy - life) or other liquid filter media can help. They are basically suspended bentonite clay and do not hurt living organisms. I do not know if you have these products in US. Test in a bucket first.
