Formalin for marine Ich?

So, I have 2 issue's brookynlella and white spot. After a huge job I've got all my vertebrates into a quarantine Aquarium after doing a 5 minute freshwater dip. I've been recommended to use formalin to treat them both however, there is little information out there on ich with Formalin. I'm using wunder 5% and adding more to the aquarium water every 3 days to maintain a low but consistent concentration. Has this method worked for anyone else?

I've never used formalin for marines but use it for freshwater commercial applications. I would use it as a bath treatment or flow through.
