I want to use 37% formalin as a bath for quarantining fish. Is there any safety equipment I need? Do I need a gas mask or an ordinary one?

From my understanding of the chemical gloves are probably a good idea as well as glasses in case the fish splashes. Not sure about the gas mask honestly

for chemical gloves, can I use latex?

Formalin is formaldehyde in solution, and that's been used widely for more than a hundred years, so there is lots of info for handling it. I would just work in a ventilated area to avoid the fumes and latex seems like a bad choice from the first rundown of it I saw, I would go with nitrile.
