Ok, still can't get it to work. Don't see a toolbar with a "Link" anywhere on my page.Under your username in the top-right (near "Inbox" and "Alerts"), hover over and select "Signature".
You will have a text-input area similar to that of a post or reply. You can type whatever you want your link to actually say, highlight it, and then click the "link" button in the toolbar (third group from the left, first option - the "chain link" that is not broken). This will bring up a URL prompt. Paste the URL for the first page of your build thread into this prompt and hit "insert". The text won't really look any different, but it will now be a link. Save the new signature and you should be good.
