This Is a different crop. I combined 20 Images together for the shot and combined them In Photoshop. I liked the tighter crop and used it in the competition.

So do you turn off all the pumps and let things settle down so you don't get movement across the 20 shots? I agree the tighter crop is better. Where do we vote?

No I didn't turn off the pumps on this shot. I shot with the camera tethered to my laptop to make the shots then imported tem into PS to do the align and merge then back into Lightroom for final edits. Winner will be determined by Reef2Reef Premium Member voting..
Here is the thread
May 2014 Photo of the Month Contest. Montipora

Awesone pic Rick. I've been playing with focus stacking software but I don't have PS or LR. I've been using Helicon Focus, Stacker, and CombineZM. One is free and I have the trial version of the other two. I think the free one does just as good a job as the others.

Lemme go see if I can find the place to vote for ya.

Thanks Harry,
I did the shot using Helicon remote. I tethered my Cannon to the laptop and it ran the bracket, it was wonderful. It Is the trial version so I loaded the exposures in Photoshop so as not to get the watermarking and did the merge their. I did a 20 exposure stack. I may go ahead and buy a license for the Helicon but for now this works great.
I just signed up for the Creative Cloud Photoshop. It's only $10.35 a month for the first year includes Lightroon and Bridge in the package. I have cs3 but it's just about obsolete and the deal was so good I couldn't pass it up. I don't have$800. to buy a copy of Photoshop and this way you always have the latest version..lol Looking forward to seeing you and Mary Ruth at the meeting.
