Here's a photo of one, I haven't added anything to this tank for at least 6 months.. There were other crabs in this tank at one time (was a holding tank for octopus food, now I buy fiddler crabs).

Is it possible these were babies that hatched, or do you think they just stay this small?

They were living in a mass of macro algae...

look like pea crabs, but not an authority - I. would let them stay, depending on the rest of the tank - impressed you caught them once, so you could possibly catch them a second time if you were having problems

Thanks everyone, pea crab is about the only thing I could find when researching too... guess ill have to wait and see if they stay that size or get bigger. Not sure where they would have come from, haven't had anything other than macro algae (and some larger crabs that came with liverock). Everything I can find says they live off clams/oysters/etc which I've never had either.

I dont think I have good enough eyes to find animals that small in my tank!
Haha! I wouldn't of found them either... I was pulling out some macro algae for my fiddler crabs and I saw two things fall on the carpet. I have a TON of cerith snails and hermit crabs so figured it was a snail... imagine my surprise when it started trying to crawl out of my hand! LOL
