What is your opinion...tank is ok or too risky with this chip in bottom corner?

The tank is used....but a quick back story..The tank is inwall so everything is built for this tank and the tank is an unusual size 6 ' long. It would also be very painful to scrap this tank because I put a lot of time into it. I buffed all of the scratches off the front starfire glass...it took about 8 hours. Also just finished ti ti g back and sides that is how I noticed this large chip.

It is difficult to tell from the picture, but I would say this chip is nothing to worry about.

If this is a commercially available tank, I would check with the manufacturer to get an opinion.

What worries me is that little "runner" going to the silicone fro. Right to left

Imo runners are never good . If it was just a small chip and didn’t go in too deep might be ok . But runners have a tendency to keep running under pressure or the weight and force of the water .

So with the runner, you might check with a glass company about a windshield crack repair, they inject super glue, might be able
To DYI as well. Then I would take it outside and fill it. Take measurements and mark it if possible to see if it changes. Bad part is it may not fail during only the test.

Understand that when gauging the severity of a chip, the location is important. Damage to glass at the tank bottom is always of greater concern as the pressure is greater as you get closer to the bottom of the tank.

While it does not look terrible, I would be leery but you can do a 7 day test with tank filled with freshwater and see if indeed holds water and if crack remains or grows. If it were mine, I would likely not fill it

I thought this tank was full.
