Found a new guy in my tank today.

Found a new coral in my tank today. Not real sure what he is. I haven’t bought a coral or anything new for the tank in maybe a year or more. Any ideas? Kinda looks like a torch to me bad pic but he’s the tiny green guy on the rock top

It could be a green majano anemone. If so, you might want to remove it.

Be careful. Can’t verify but it Could potentially be a majano anemone. Basically a pest.

keep an eye on , look at night see if has skeleton.
before you go nuking it.

But but…it’s so pretty!! I’m not real sure where it would have come from. Like I said it’s been over a year since I bought anything. @Lavey29 i do have a torch but it’s purple. I really wanted it to be something cool! It’s on a Little Rock all by itself. I guess I remove the rock when I get home from work. :/ Thanks everyone.

May be a majano, but some species of majano are slower-growing and harmless. Leave it in unless it starts multiplying fast. If it does, oh well- pop it out. Not too much harder to remove 3 than to remove 1.

I would recommend giving it some time until you are sure. No point in killing it on a guess from a single picture. I keep majano anemones on purpose, they aren't that impossible to keep up with, so if you end up with a couple of them you can still catch them all pretty easily.
