Found a worm in my skimmer

No idea what this is. Just noticed it crawling around in my skimmer Does this mean one of my fish has worms? Or is this just like a sea maggot of some sort born of fish poop?

Thx. It kinda looks and moves like a slug. I’m not sure how much help I can be, but I don’t think that means your fish will have worms. Maybe he was in your “fuge“ and got sucked into the skimmer? Do you want to get rid of him?

Yea skimmer is due for a cleaning anyway. Does not look like something i want lurking lol

It is on the dry part of the skimmer cup climbing up. Its a slimy bugger though so not sure if it crawled out. Prob 2-3mm.

I suppose its possible a fly got into the skimmer and laid an egg?

My tank was started with dry rock and i have no coral so unlikely to be a hitchhiker unless on a fish.
