Found an isopod on my peppermint shrimp

I've had the peppermint shrimp for 3 months today i found it lying on it's side with a huge isopod on it! I immediately removed the shrimp! What do I do next!!!

Put it back into some tank water, BUT NOT in the tank. Then bring out the tweezers.

 
A quick freshwater dip should release it
