Where are you located? Collection of rock like this is illegal in most if not all of the states. I see your profile has you listed as Miami Beach. I would return the rocks and review your states collection regulations before you end up in hot water.

Dimplez17 welcome to the reef. I discovered this forum as it seemed to always come up when I googled a question. Finally joined, then chose to become a supporting member and later a partner member to keep the forum available for others to come. My wife @Ocean_Queenie and I started culturing copepods and phytoplankton eventually selling some on here as a hobbyist. Eventually we decided to try to make a career out of it so we are now sponsors as well. I love the Reef2Reef community here and the wealth of knowledge. Thanks for joining us.

Hey, there will always be some who want to point stuff out. I felt they were more cautionary than accusatory. I might be wrong, but yea in some places it is taken very seriously. Was talking to a fellow R2R member from Hawaii and it is a major no no to take anything out of the sea.

I believe you will find support here as I have.
