... And I'm fairly certain he starved himself to death. I just don't understand why. I bought him to help with some GHA and within 10 minutes, he was going to town like a madman! Chomping long hair, short hair, film... Whatever algae I had, he was ravenous!

I had him maybe... 4 months or so? And within the last week or two, I noticed he wasn't eating as much and was starting to get thin. Not anorexic thin, but where before he had a HUGE belly, now he was slender.

I still have a bunch of algae I am managing, so he had food at his disposal. Are these fish known to just get sick of their normal diet? What would cause a fish to literally go CRAZY for GHA, then stop eating it all of a sudden? Any opinions are welcome.

Sorry to hear about your Blenny I don’t have an answer for you maybe an expert can help. @HotRocks @4FordFamily

Any recent newcomers? Possible he had some
Sort of disease. Something has to have cause the fish to stop eating. Could have been an internal disease, or something non disease related as well. Tell us more about your tank, tank mates, new additions, corals, etc.

I’m guessing disease or perhaps he ate something he shouldn’t have such as dinoflagellates in the tank?

Sorry for your loss :(

I have the same questions as @HotRocks

Did you use products (such as Vibrant or similar) to help reduce your GHA?

Incredibly sad.. but I found mine dead today too.

He either died from lack of algae to eat and or my emerald crab
