I just posted about my 65 gallon tank (I will go back to that thread and respond rn. But I found this and wondered if this is a value and a half, and if so what am I not considering as far as care, bacteria, sitting. It looks potentially good but idk technically what I'm looking at.

$240 for 100 of live or life rock

It’s not a bad deal at all for my area. Still, offer $180 because reasons! Or 200 and include the totes and pump.

I can't possibly use it for at least a week or 2. Would I have to store it in salt water and a pump?

Don’t really have to have a pump but you should. It needs to stay submerged though. In a pinch you could probably put in shallow totes with a little water and cover in newspaper but why? $200 with totes and pumps FIRM!!!

Thats a $100 stock tank so $200 would be a deal.

That water looks very skanky to me. If I was you, I would make sure that you check the smell of it when you get there and if there is any rotting type smell, I would say forget it

Unless you plan to clean and curate, of course if it’s gunky and rotted, I would not use it as is and take it from me. It’s a lotta work to clean and cure 200 pounds of rock.

Good call. $190 for everything because his bacteria is too dirty!

You guys are nuts. $180 would be killer deal. You need to see the jetties and ponds they culture the store bought live rock in. Half of it tests crazy high for E. coli.
