I have noticed a zoanthid colony that was looking bare in an area just outside the center of the colony and also noticed polyps around the bare area weren’t opening up. This evening I saw the culprit, a pest anemone, which I believe to be a majano.

If you look at the picture you can see several of the polyps trying to grow away from this pest. One of the polyps is starting to close in on itself and yet another that has a piece of the anemone touching it completely closed. I will be administering a homemade solution of 50% fresh lemon juice and 50% white vinegar injected with a syringe and needle to try to eradicate this beast. I will let you know how it works.
