So I hadn't cleaned my skimmer thoroughly in awhile and I found these, almost the size of a dime. Any idea what is growing in my tank?

Yes, but none in my sump.
The eggs can travel through the water column. They most likely continued to grow. What kinds of fish do you have several of? This is neat.

I say this with ignorance because I haven't raised fish from eggs, but this is what I know.....Clowns and Chromis "nest" their eggs, while Bangaii Cardinals carry them around in their mouths. Didn't mention what type of cardinal, but that's what I know about Bangaii. Let's see what the #reefsquad has to add.

While they look like fish eggs, I've never seen a fish egg this big. The are almost the size of a dime.

Definitely not clown eggs. They are much smaller, yellow/orange in color and not shaped like that.

That is really cool. If they hatch they may be gone before you can ID them but I vote for you to take pictures of them every day as they develop! :p

By jove, I think you've got it! I googled salp and there were pictures that looked almost exactly like these!

Yep that's the closest thing I could find. Found more under the rocks.

Seems like a sign of a healthy system that can support filter feeders!
