Found these inside of a powerhead

I disassembled one of my Ecotech MP-10 powerheads to clean it and found these white things. They were in a thin space between a rotating part and a stationary part. Interestingly, they were attached to the rotating part. They are kidney shaped, about 1/8 inch long. I scraped them off with a toothpick and found them to be stuck pretty well to the plastic. I deformed them somewhat scraping them off. Anyone know what they are?

Were they all in rows? It looks like it in the first photo. Snail eggs maybe. Do you have snails?

Roughly in rows. I do have snails, nerite grazer and littorinid grazer. Don't know how they could have gotten into such a thin space though.

The snail wouldn’t have had to been fully inside the power head. Their feet are surprisingly flexible. You’ve got me on the rotating bit, though. Do you shut your power head off outside of removing it for cleanings?

Well, a week or so ago the powerhead was making noise as though a snail had gotten into it, so I turned it off for a while. So yes, maybe snail eggs
