It’s hard to tell from your picture, but could it be a nassarius snail. Google that and check out the pictures to see if it looks similar. Note nassarius color could go from black, to brown, to tan, to almost all white.
Was it sticking to your glass? Is it solid (as in is it completely enclosed? What shape is it? It looks like its kind of round with a flat bottom, kind of like a clams bottom where they extend their foot.
If it is a snail with a partial little piece of a shell on its back, it could be a stomatella snail. Otherwise I’d check THIS hitchhiker link for a slug or nudibrach identification.
Sorry, but the picture is hard to tell with only one angle of it. But youre doing the right thing by getting rid of whater it is if youre worried its bad. Looks harmless tho. Now, if it was hairy and had claws, id definatly take it out. But I think youre ok bud. That probably wont be the strangest hitchiker you come across. Always fun finding something weird in your tank! A big part of why I enjoy this hobby. Hopefully myself and the others commenting on this thread have been of some help. Enjoy the weird!
