Found this stuff and need advice...

Quick question....I have a reef octo classic 100 hob skimmer on the back of my tank and I was adding this sump for extra filtration! I don't need to put my skimmer down in the sump right? BC I don't even think it would fit lol

My sump sits beside the tank on the floor the first pic is the hob overflow I built and the 2nd is my skimmer
