Looks like Acan. Echinata is my guess. There are no separations between mouths.

Oh fun!! I figured based on these pictures this fellow would be ID'd!

Absolutely. Buckroe07 may be right. Wait for the new polyps to mature and it should be easier to id.

I HAD the same species in my tank. Lost it in the bryopsis mess a while back and it ended up flipped over in the sand and died. Had about 7 heads on it. I had a lot of trouble getting a solid ID for awhile and in the end we agreed Acan Echinata was about as close as we could get. I WISH I had it still! It was a favorite I got as a birthday present.

It's an awesome find! When mine was really happy, it kept sending white strandlike things out all around him. I thought it was dying at first but by the next day, they were all retracted and gone as if nothing happened. I saw it every night. I wonder if was trying to claim territory as it was closes to other corals. I traded it because I felt lie it needed more space and wanted it to grow large. they love to eat!
