Four Foot 150g-Are They Really That Bad?

Hi everyone! I came across a good deal on a four foot 150g tank, and I would love to purchase it as an upgrade. Here is the issue: I would love to keep Tangs and have heard that Tangs really need six footers---what is your opinion? Here are the dimensions, thanks!
Tank: 24"L x 48"W x 30"H

honestly i think it depends on flow if you have enough flow to make it seem like the tang is swimming a greater distance then i think it should be fine i have kept a tang in my 29 gal for almost two years only reason i got rid of him is because he was attacking my clowns i put a power head at the top on one side and another on the bottom opposite and he had a ball never saw any signs of stress whatsoever but that is just my opinion and many people will probably tell you different i did not have much live rock when i had him so he had quite a bit of space him and my blue velvet damsel would just play in the current all day with no worries but if you have alot of soft corals alot of current could bring issues with pulling the coral off the rock but i really do not know because i run a fowlr system i hope everything works out for you tangs are beautiful fish ... best of luck to ya

I have a 110 five footer. If you are contempt with a yellow, purple, kole, or bristle tooth I think you would be perfectly fine. Larger tangs like the blues, powders, sohals, achilles etc get very big and need a lot more horizontal swim space. I believe I heard that most tangs swim 5 miles a day? Of course you could get babies and just sell them when they get too big or aggressive. For most other fish, though, a 4 ft 150 gallon is perfectly fine

Ya, i think its fine. Just stick with the smaller species.
