How difficult would a small (probably 10 gallon) tank be to care for with no coral, anemones, and things like that? The stock would probably be something like:

3 blue leg hermits
2 scarlet reef hermits
2 zebra hermits
1 emerald crab
2 peppermint shrimp
2 trochus snails
1 nassarius snail
1 black brittle star
1 blue damselfish

The tank would be more directed towards the inverts, so I don't mind specifically feeding them if I have to. The fish would just be for entertainment and to have a bit more movement. I also wouldn't need any special lighting would I?

I love invert tanks! I would stay away from zebra hermits, they're very very aggressive towards other hermits and are prone to unnecessary snail predation. The emerald crab and peppermint shrimp may only be happy if you have an infestation of bubble algae or aptasia respectively, so be careful there.

As for lighting, you could run that on whatever looks pretty to you. Inverts don't care much about lighting. Make sure you have caves and places for them to hide during the day though.

You could run that on some cheap LEDs from the Internet.
