I acquired a fox coral from a store still revoverying from the hurricane a few months ago. Everyone said it is one of the oldest coral species in the hobby. I don’t know if anyone who has it. Does anyone know about this coral? Why is it so unpopular? Why can’t I find it anywhere? The guy sold it to me for $20 but everywhere I look it sells for $50-160 and it’s sold out or on the waiting list. I have a decent sized piece I think it’s too big to call a frag but too small to call a colony. Here a picture of it.

Nice.. you don’t see them much anymore but back when the hobby first started here in North America you would frequently see them available, it was one of the first corals I had ever seen in captivity that was for sale.

It's a pretty coral. For $20, I would definitely add it to my collection.
