I am trying to figure out what is going on with my Foxface. I’ve had him in my DT for a few weeks. All the other fish are doing great. He’s been progressively getting worse over the past few days.

I have him in some treatment right now

Here are some pics of him

We really need full background information on this fish. Here is a link to the info that we need:

In addition, you say you are starting a treatment, with what medication?

Is this fish breathing fast? It is really emaciated, so it hasn't been eating enough. The black spots are likely hypermelanization, where the fish's skin produces melanin as a reaction to something - a coral sting or a parasite.

I have him swimming in some hydro plex.

he is not breathing fast. He was eating well up until a couple days ago. He’s had the spots like that for a feel couple weeks now.

The manufacturer hides the ingredients used in Hyproplex, so I can't tell you if that product would have any benefit or not. Don't keep him in that for more than 10 minutes.
