Hi all,

This morning my Foxface was hiding, brown, And lethargic. (Last night was fine, seemingly).

There are 3-5 of these white spots/circles, with a darker center, almost circles rather than spots - ranging in size from 1/8” to almost 1/4” on it. Photo attached. Smaller one near the back, larger under front fin.

It looks like a few white patchy spots of similar size on a couple fins.

I’ve had it in the tank for 2 months. There have been no additions to the tank for a month. No indication of any disease on any other fish.

I can’t find any photos of Ich (seems to be the Most common white spot style disease) online that look anything like these.

Going to have to go to LFS for meds, but I have no idea where to start.

I‘d appreciate any help.

Will do. Can flukes “appear out of nowhere” where I’ve seemingly had no other fluke issue?

And what’s the next step After this dip if it is or isn’t flukes? I don’t have any idea where to start on medication.

Too late - it died. Didn't even get to try the dip.

Sorry for your loss. Doing a freshwater dip is a good diagnostic. It removes many parasites (flukes, velvet, Brook) "temporarily" and buys you time to plan treatment after the dip results.
