I just noticed this growth on the bottom of my Foxface's mouth earlier today. I did some preliminary research and it seems like it is largely untreatable without serious intervention if it is the worst case scenario, but maybe I can get some better input with these pictures (I tried to get as close as I could in good lighting but he is very shy so it was hard to take the perfect picture). I haven't noticed it long enough to see if it is growing rapidly.

Other than the small growth, he still ate voraciously today both times I fed my tank, and is generally behaving as he normally would, swimming around the tank munching on the rocks and sometimes the sand. As for his diet, I alternate daily between clips of purple/green nori and spirulina tablets. He is a bit of a pig and tends to eat the majority of the meaty food I add in the tank as well, which consists of a variety of marine cuisine, frozen mysis, spirulina enriched brine, and the occasional shellfish (clam, mussel, squid, which I drop in for my wrasse). I also feed formula one and two pellets. Today he ate plenty of spirulina enriched brine and also went to town on the nori clip I added.

I read that these kinds of conditions can sometimes be stress induced, and prior to today he did seem to be acting abnormally (hiding more than usual, flexing his spines under the arch he sleeps in, etc.), which if that's the case, I believe it may be from some changes to my lighting schedule and other additional tasks I have added to my routine to combat a dino outbreak I am also dealing with. I have had him about two months at this point with no other issues.

Looks like hanging flesh from an injury whether running into rock as they spook easily or conflict with tankmate. Should heal on it own and fall off But DO keep an eye on it to assure it does not have any new developments

That's what I was hoping for, will monitor for unusual growth or any changes. He is the biggest fish in the tank and the other fish tend to leave him alone but it is possible I spooked him when doing a water change.

New development in all this. Turns out my Pintail Fairy also has a small white-ish bulb just underneath one of his fins. He is barely moving that fin, but is still swimming around and eating, albeit has been slightly more reclusive in the past couple of days. I have attached the best pictures I could take. Is this lympho? Or is it another bodily injury that maybe resulted in a fight with the foxface, which is why the both have injuries? It was even harder to get a picture of him so the images are a bit blurry but if those + my description of his immobile fin are insufficient I can try to get a better photo.
