Just added some kp live rocks couple days ago, and there were many bristtlestars. Ive seen my foxface picking at the rocks. Assumed it may be eating the algae left on the rocks. Just caught it slurping legs of a brittlestar, and tossing it around. Im curious if hes eating their legs that stick out the rocks lol. I wasnt aware he was such a murdering machine lol. Is this normal for foxfaces?

I think that is where the fox part of foxface may come from. Cut throat killers. I'll just assume you are out of zoas for it to eat.
Shockingly, neither one my rabbitfish touch zoas. They will crush nori and everything else I drop in like no other.

the old tradition Fox hunt....

thought by the title you were having a hard time finding one to buy.

have had a CB scrawled rabbit that I just re-homed due to size and a current fox face. Both bought to eat algae - both in tanks with plenty of zoas

neither graze, just sit and wait for the nori or the food.

Same over here, my Magnificent (Which are notorious Zoa eaters - Possibly worse than the other 4 “Lo” rabbits) doesn’t touch zoas. Instead my CBB enjoys them.

As for algae, any macro, cyano, diatoms, GHA, film, coralline (You name it, he’ll chomp it) is gone if added to my tank. I’ve actually gotten VERY lucky with my algae eaters in which they always eat it and get rid of it within days.

My rabbits aren't touching a nasty GHA outbreak that just started. They are spoiled rotten on nori and will swim to and wait at the feeders for me to reload them. Totally like dogs.
