My wife sent this to me today of our foxface laying on bottom on its side(still breathing). He has been perfect until just now. We added a timor wrasse earlier in week and today he finally emerged from the sand and after my wife knoticed the foxface. I don't know my water params right now but any advice appreciated.

Need a lot more details of tank to help. How long it’s been set up how long you’ve had the rabbit fish parameters cuc die off anything you can think of previous fish deaths in the last month or so etc.

Better pictures and water parameters are needed. One possibility is your new fish has brought velvet which can kill quickly and show spots near death. You might need to get your fish in a hospital tank asap running with an airstone. If it's velvet, ich, or brooklynella, Copper Power or Cupramine will treat the bugs. I have had luck with using Hydroplex in a 10 minute saltwater dip to give quick, low stress relief. It does kill the parasites on them but you still need to do the hospital treatment too.

These medications cannot be used in your DT which would need to go fallow for weeks depending on the type of parasite. See stickie threads under the disease forum.

I called the guy who set my tank and told me sometimes Wrasses can bring parasites in and to only buy from dealers who quarantine. Well I cheated on him and bought the wrasse from somewhere else... he recommended the fresh water dip and again tomorrow if it's still alive. And yes, I'm very novice but lesson learned here. I will only consult and purchase from the guy i know who truly wants the best for me and my tank.
