So this little guy about 4-5” was being harassed by an angel fish, 10 days following seperation the rabbitfish was eating, that was a month ago. 3days agp I noticed the rabbit fish was hiding, not interested in food, missing a big chunk of its tail & this morning several small parts,it was quite stationary on the sand catching it was effortless . it is in qt at the moment, lets me hold it, spits water at me if I hold it’s head and gills above the surface.( dont see anything obvious in its mouth)otherwise it sits in one place with its mouth wide open.ive lowered the salinity to 1020,air stone, and biowheel running,every fish in the DT has been treated with Cp & prazipro it has no sign of ich so right now I’m just observing the foxface it’s been 6-7 hrs now with no sign of improment .anybody have any suggestions?had this guy since it was as big as a loonie I suspect either a ochre cardinal or a barred dart fish have been harassing it.if it recovers I’ll put it in a frag tank.

You could consider treating with Ruby Reef Rally in a 90 minute bath. RRR has both an antiseptic and antibiotic qualities that can work well to help an ailing fish recover. A bit stronger treatment would be to use Nitrofuracine Green Powder (NFG) or Triple Sulfa + Neoplex.
