Sorry I initially posted in this thread but wanted to get some extra attention:

I bought a beautiful Harlequin tusk fish from a LFS and when I looked at if from one side it looked fine. I asked the shop help if it was eating and ok, and they said it was. I was in a hurry, and when I brought it home it had a spot on its side similar to your first pics in the other post.

My initial thought was I just brought home a dead fish from a lfs that was not honest with me, but perhaps they only had seen one side like I had? I dropped it in my dt and it healed much faster than I could have hoped for.

I think your fish might be healing, and if you have ever had a scraped elbow or knew you might recall that eventually the scab would fall off?

If it's eating and swimming ok it's probably going to heal, like someone else suggested in the other thread?

I am assuming you kept it in your dt and have been feeding and monitoring it?

Yes I kept it in the DT but once I saw this I moved it to QT and added some Kanaplex will monitor him there a few days and probably move him back if it starts to look better
