Foxface Rabbit Question

Hey guys, I was just looking at getting a foxface rabbit for my tank to help with some green hair algae and also i really like how he looks. The tank is 125g display with a 75g sump.

I have read they are venomous and my hands aren't in the tank very much other then needing to clean the mp40s i have and cutting some corals or gluing them in, So i was wondering if a pair of coral life gloves would stop a sting or would the spin still be able to go thought these gloves?

I don't know if the gloves will stop the spines, but I've never been concerned about it with any foxface I've had. Mine have been very timid and stay well away from hands when they are in the tank. The spines are defensive, not offensive. I don't believe a foxface would came at you and try to stab you with it's spines.

Unless you plan to grab the Rabbit fish like a football to get it out of the tank, it will not stick you

OMG, dont get those gloves, I got them, and they ripped right away. Those gloves are made for a very small womens hand, not a mans hand, you'll regret it. Get something like the one pasted below, those are hardcore, I got them last year and they are still perfect, best $25 I have spent on this hobby. Although I have to say the price today is much more than I paid last year

When I had my Foxface - he was a big huge chicken and ran and “hid” (changed his colors) when I got my hands in the tank. We had to do an emergency water change and I had moved everyone over to my QT and trying to get them back in the DT he flipped out of the net and landed on the floor - I picked him up with my bare hands and just made sure I laid my hands over his spines so he couldn’t raise them. The guy at my LFS has been stung and he said it felt like his hand got smashed with a hammer.
