I have a 75 gal reef. I have 1 pink clown. Want to add a foxface because I like them and also hoping it will help with the hair algea.

I want a small one. Any good websites to get one from if I cant find the right one locally?

Try to find a smaller species, such as magnificus or unimaculatus. These are less likely to outgrow a tank compared to niger, vulpinus and uspi. I personally own a Magnificus in a 4’x2’x18” tank (I usually round up the height to 2’), these are unusual compared to the rest as the rest are mostly yellow or black. But these are a pricier species and I suspect the colour may be something to do with it along with the range they’re from (Redsea, with some coming in from Indonesia).
This is my guy, his colours look lighter at the minute due to the algae growth on the glass.

A one spot fox face is is a great smaller sized fox face that would do well in that size tank. The one i have right now is one of the only fish I’ve had that will go after longer hair algae.

So the one spot is a smaller variant then the fiji and regular tellow? Never knew that
I’m seeing mixed opinions online but liveaquaria has them at 70gal minimum.

my tank is only a 50 and I have a young one spot in there helping me with hair algae. She’s over two years old now but still right around 3.5 inches.

I got mine around the 3.5” mark and in 6 months she’s only gotten wider and maybe a 1/2” longer.
