I believe it had the same thing a year ago, which went away by itself.

It came a few days ago, and I’m pretty sure it is scratch marks, but wanted to share it in here if it could be something else.

No other fish has any diseases or symptoms, and the fox face eats well.

Pic is very dark and fuzzy however from what I can tell, its possibly scrape injury or if you have an urchin, puncture wounds with poor healing.
Please post a video under white lighting and is fish eating and breathing normal?

Do you have a bristletooth tang? I've seen nips from a tang that tend to look kind of like that. I does look like some kind of injury. The few I've seen have healed very quickly. Just a thought.

I only have a purple tang, but they never bother each other

Mine does “crazy cat” type dashes when startled sometimes. Got scraped up a bit one time and did heal quickly. I find when healthy , they’re pretty sturdy

Here you go. It is eating and breathing as usual:

Keep an eye on it for healing and becoming red or sore. If so, treat in separate tank with Seachem Neoplex

My foxface will get some scratches from when my powder blue decides to chase him away from Nori. Sometimes She'll get scratched on some rock or coral but it's usually a white scratch that'll go away over a couple of days.

I make sure to feed Nori soaked in vitamins and provide Masstick with Beta Glucan and selcon mixed in to pump up the immune system.

I know the first few years I had her she was a bit skittesh and would seemingly scare herself. But I've had her for 9 years now and she's finally calmed down and let's me boop her nose and spits water at me when I walk by...seemingly for some pellets.

Mine does the same thing and used to get them from battles with my bristletooth.

Some more pictures.

Please do tell how you made her be so comfortable With you. ☺️

It got it the same day as I got my new elegance coral. Could it have stung it?
That is a good possibility as they offer a good sting
