The fox face has a wide and diverse palet. Turf, bubble and gha. The urchins are the same and they love film and coraline.

in my experience, emeralds love macros of all types. . . I assume the same is true of herbivorous fish. That said, the cordium and Helmedia suggestions might work, maybe some other really tough calcareous macros. . . not sure what those would be haha
You could try Mermaid's fans. They are very calcified. Bottle Brush, Pencil Cap, maybe. Halimeda might also work. Codium might persist enough.
How many urchins and what kind? My tuxedo urchin would munch on Codium but not fast enough to kill it off.

I have one pincushion urchin.
Pincushion is a bit more potent, but might work. How deep is your sand bed?

My sand bead is 2-3 inches.
I'd try a mermaid fan, penci cap or Xmas tree, some halimeda and codium. See what lives.
My suspicion is that the mermaid fan and pencil cap/xmas tree will get knocked over unless it is well rooted, the urchin might take down the halimeda and the codium might persist if you have a big enough ball and it is well-fastened to a rock.

I have ulva and gracilaria from ISPF in my tank, and it has no issues with my emerald crabs and tuxedo urchin. To be honest the tuxedo only eats coralline and ignores all other algae (except for decorating itself).

But he has a foxface which will thank him for the salad buffet of those two.
Ulva and gracilaria shouldn't last a day with a foxface. The gracilaria is basically giving a child $100 in a candy store.

Gracilaria Hayi is lightly calcified and stands up well with the herbivores you mentioned.
Another interesting macro that stands up well to herbivores.
