I am looking to add a One Spot Foxface to my 75 gal with the following fish,

White Tail tang 3"
Lawnmower Blenny 4"
2 Clowns 1.5"
Pinkstreak wrasse 1.5"

I am looking for 1 last fish to finish my tank fish stocking. As much as I want a Gem tang I dont think I can house it happilly without fighting with the white tail. I think the Foxface would make a good peaceful addition.

Thoughts?

By "white tail", do you mean a bristletooth tang? If so, then yes, the tang and foxface are likely to get along.
*With the caveat that my bristletooth tang is a jerk and likely won't get along with anything I add to his tank...

They would definitely work, just be careful if you corner the fish as they may use the venom in their spines as defence.

I’ve never had a foxface that was aggressive. So if they will work together really depends on if the tang will pick on the foxface. If your tang is not aggressive (I’d guess that species probably isn’t) then I’d assume they’d be fine together.

Yup white tail bristletooth tang. Mine seems like a little jerk to my Lawnmower but nothing major

I have a 13" black piranha so I know to be careful when working in a tank lol

It doesnt seem too mean. Very skiddish but doesnt like the blenny haha

My Whitetail and Foxface get along well.

thats good to hear!

Think im going to get a 1 spot and hope they get along and he doesnt eat my sps

One of two things will most likely happen the FF will be best friends with the tang or the tang will bully him. Should have added them at the same time or added the tang last. Good luck.

He doesnt care about the clowns at all, so hopefully it being a bristletooth it should be calmer. I didnt want to overload my bioload by adding everything so quickly. Heres to hoping

I have a lawnmower blenny and that is the only fish in my tank that the tomini tang shows any aggressions towards. It seems common that Ctenochaetus tangs don’t like algae blennies.

That’s interesting to read as I’ve got a blenny in my tank that my bristletooth avoids (Albeit isn’t a Salarias species).

I have a Midas blenny in my tank that the tomini ignores. From what I’ve read online they are often aggressive towards Combtooth blennies. I believe the logic is that they are competing for the same food source. Although my tomini tang isn’t agressive to the other algae eaters in my tank so I’m not sure if that logic works or not.

Mine is a one spot. Both my Fox face and whitetail don’t eat any of my sps or lps.

The foxface should get along with the tang, in my experience. They are peaceful, and if the tang has a problem, the foxface will just point its dorsal spines at it and the tang will back off. The foxes are debatable for a 75. They get pretty big, but not quite as active as most tangs. So, it's up to you there.

If you decide against it, dwarf angels are worth looking into.

I wouldn't be worried about the fox face at all. The generally are not aggressive and have a great ability to defend themselves with their spikes.

The wT Bristletooth I have is the most unwelcoming of all my fish.
That’s good to know because I was considering adding a powder blue tang and I already have a whitetail.
