Hey fellow reefers,

I just picked up a Foxface yesterday, still a little shy though I am seeing it more out in the open. Its coloration, compared when I brought it, has improved like tenfold, though I am a little worried as I have yet to see him eat anything. I've been doing both flakes and PE Mysis shrimp. Should I be worried or is this natural and he will start eating in a few days?

Leave red nori on a clip or rubber banded to a rock.

There are several other frozen foods you could try but I found that my foxface really enjoyed live blackworms (the movement elicits a feeding response and they must be yummy).

It may take a day or 2. The coloration you saw when you brought him home was his stress colors...the more comfortable he gets the more colorful he will be. Offer him some nori too....he is like a tang and needs lots of veggies in his diet....he might take to that factor than flake.

Once they start eating they are PIGS I have one that's as thick as a brick lol

I have some nori, I'll give that a try tomorrow when I do regular feeding. I have 2 clips so I'll put some at both ends of the tank

Put Nori in now. They graze all the time so out of session Nori twice a week does them good.

Mine was chased relentlessly by yellow tang but after 5 or so days it came out of hiding and now if doing great. Give it a few days and try target feeding him
