Hey all, new to the saltwater game and was just curious if anyone else's foxfaced rabbit fish often spaz out during feeding time like there's a clown chasing them around the tank but they're still starving.

Every time he goes to grab flakes or other food he gets up to them all chill and then dives down scaring the rest of my inhabitants deep into the inner recesses of my rock work. Is that normal?

I actually had a casualty a few years back from a spastic foxface in my 90 gal mixed reef. I'm not really sure what his deal was but he would spook super super easy and never got over it. One day he darted into a corner where my powder blue tang was, shot his spines out into the belly of the tang, and I lost the tang within a few hours. I would love to hear some more feedback as to my understanding usually these are generally supposed to be pretty mellow fish. After he took out my favorite powder blue I let him go and took him back to the lfs since it didnt look like he was going to mellow out any time soon.

Foxface's are known to suddenly start heavy jerking. Most of the time it's territorial flexing, I would keep a close eye on it but would not worry too much, things should settle down;)
