Sorry to report that the Polly stuff doesn't work worth a dang (for me) when trying to mount frags in the DT. I think the stuff is much more effective if you are building a rock scape outside of the tank for later immersion.

Within the tank, it can be difficult, but you have to work quickly and works much better if you good if there crevices for the glue to lodge into

Normally I use dollar tree but this time I used PA glue, I will never use the dollar tree glue again after this fragging. Pretty dang impressed and that takes alot. I fragged about 50 sps yesterday.

I know this is a month old thread but I just got the $ store glue. Exact one but I don’t want to kill my tank with it. Any tips for using it?

Only tip I have is when you place a frag on it, let it set for 30 seconds or so and then drop some water on it and then place it in your tank.

I use the Gorilla Glue Super Glue gel. I have been using it to kill aptasia and other nasties in the tank too.:)

As long as it is cyanoacrylate, you are fine. I use the little 2 gel packs from Dollar Tree as well, because they are convenient. If gluing in tank, it helps if you put a little dab of glue on the rock you are gluing it to and let it sit for 20-30 seconds, and on the bottom of the frag. Cyanoacrylate to cyanoacrylate bonds are very strong.

You're not going to kill your tank. Just put some glue on whatever you're going to put in the tank. The glue will get a Film cover when it touches the water. When you attach the Frag to the rock move it around a little to break the film cover on the glue. Watch your fish so they don't try to eat the glue. I hade a clown that had his mouth glued shut for a days once.
