So today I was just sitting here thinking what am I really going to do when I retire (5 years at the least) how can I supplement my income? I decided that maybe I can turn this into a supplement income. I know there are fly by night operations and many have asked and many have failed.
I got my wife on board so figured let's look into it (why not). As I mentioned this is the VERY EARLY stage and just looking to see what the standard is such as tank dimension what is required if I setup shop in the garage? Not looking to take over the garage maybe 200G-300G shallow tank. I know I'd need a chiller as it gets extremely hot where I live.
Does anyone know of a very informative thread or site that I could read through.
Again this is just me thinking out loud and years in the making, worse case scenario I just got the ok for a 300 gallon system.
Thanks for any info you can offer.

A 300 gallon frag tank would be pretty big. I guess the tank would take up a bay of the garage. I would suggest that you think of insulating the garage as much as possible. I live in Florida. The ceiling over the garage was not insulated. I insulated it and the results were impressive. The garage used to get murderously hot and pretty cold. With the insulation, the temperature swings are far less and I still have the gargage doors.

I don't want to take up a whole bay. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of 7'×3'×12-18"
