Its going to be visible.. but I'm good with building and proud to show any Frankenstein light projects. I had a beast of a light on my 125 made from a steel insurance sign. Hahahaha. Eeeeuyyeahhhh...it was scary looking!
I have a 150w halide on hand with just the bulb/ballast/reflector. The closest pet store has Hagen Glo t5 ballasts for any size but 54w and they are all 2 bulb ballasts for 29.99, which is really cheap. Would having only 6 inches of water allow this cheap ballast with some nice bulbs be fine? I can put it as close to the water as possible. My display has a pulley system for the lights that I made from wire and shelf braces. Curtain hides that. I could find a matching
One for the frag light lol.
