I have a Monti cap and an acro on plugs want to take off and put directly onto my lr what is the best way to remove them from the plug. Also have a chalice on a small piece of lr wanting to take it off the small piece of rock

i grow out frags fro people so i usually letem grow then break off a piece and put it on the LR...corals are super resilient even the delicate ones as long as they are healthy

Thank you that's what I thought but didn't want to go killing corals if I was wrong

I use bone cutters or wire cutters and pop them off. Bone cutters work great at cutting into LR also and make it easy to frag inside the tank. Easily one of my fav reef tools now.

Depending on how they are attached you can either pop them off with a screwdriver, razor blade, etc or use a bandsaw to cut underneath the frag. I agree with them being resilient if healthy. I've seen pieces of birdsnest break off and fall onto the sand and keep on growing.
