whats the easiest and safest way to take corals off of a frag plug without “injuring” the coral. The larger wooden ones seem to be easy. The stem pops right off. The smaller wooden ones are not as easy. Then the plastic colored ones seem to be even worse. Any tips or suggestions?

I have a pair of side cutters/ wire cutters that I grab firmly at the base and pop it off. I use wire cutters because it has less surface area than needle nose or regular pliers.

If the coral hasn't started to encrust the plug u can use a thin tipped flat screwdriver and get under the epoxy and pop it off, if it's an sps that has started to encrust the plug then all u can do is cut the coral off.

Ok. I’m thinking of using something like a dremel and just cut the stem off the plug. Or like what was said upwards I can get a razor blade and cut the coral off the plug as long as it’s not encrusting

Large wire cutters will cut the stems off the plugs easily.
