frag plugs?

So I’ve recently been starting to buy some soft corals, and 2 sps (which I didn’t realize at first lol) they’re all on plugs except my monti and one of my hammer corals. The others are birds nest, another hammer, dunkin, 2 gsp, bambam zoa, blasto, a toadstool leather and a blue mushroom (not sure on exact kind, but I hear they like to move?) was just wondering if I should keeps these on the plugs for a while? Remove them? Any info/comments/opinions are greatly appreciated

Personal preference really some keep plugs others don’t I like to keep mine on plugs cause I move them around until I feel there full acclimated and look happy as for mushrooms they move and never end up where I want them lol

For SPS corals I always remove the plugs and dip the corals in a prophylactic like Bayer or Revive. I can then super glue the coral onto my rock work with no plug. The plugs can be host to eggs and other nasties, in addition to not looking very natural. If it's a soft coral or zoas I might use cutters to snap the base off but usually leave the top disc portion as I can't realistically remove the soft corals without some damage in most cases.
