No idea why I thought they would be fragile, but it's good to know that they can handle harsh environments. I had no idea, honestly.
I always thought the same thing as well until I had a conversation with Chad a little while ago. It stemmed from someone asking a question similar to yours in a different thread. He mentioned he let one of his batches get to 4ppm ammonia with no I'll effects atall and it's relatively common to see, more so in his case as he has massive batches with large volumes of water. Not that it's good practice or anything lol
